Southeast Ministries
A non-profit charitable organization housed next door to the BUMC campus (476 Sharp Rd) and staffed by volunteers from 21 churches who work together to provide food to qualifying clients in distress who live in southeast Baton Rouge. [www.southeastministries.org]

Open Air Ministries
A ministry to the homeless in downtown Baton Rouge that provides clothing, food, and a weekly worship service to those in need. Click here to find out ways that you can help.

Partners in Education
Volunteers serve at our adopted school, Broadmoor Elementary as Reading Friends, Math Friends, Library Friends or PE Assistants [vips.ebrschools.org]

ESL (English as a Second Language)
Ministers to adult immigrants by enabling them to learn survival skills in a new country and to gain cultural and English language competency

United Methodist HOPE Ministries
A non-profit charitable organization of the Louisiana United Methodist Conference which provides food and financial assistance to qualifying clients in distress [www.hopeworksbr.com]

Habitat for Humanity
Our church helps with the United Methodist Church’s build of a Habitat House in Baton Rouge each year through our financial gifts and volunteers. Volunteers help with much of the home construction, including insulation, roofing, flooring, painting, and landscaping.

Prison Ministries
BUMC provides volunteers, supplies, and funding for spiritual renewal retreats for prison inmates and their family members. We also bake cookies for the retreat participants.

Red Cross Disaster Relief
Our Casual Worship Center becomes a housing station for Red Cross Staff during disasters in the Gulf Coast region. [www.redcross.org]
