Children’s/Youth Ministry Mission Statement:

As disciples of Christ, we nurture and serve the church family and community through intergenerational bonding, missions, and outreach.

Kidz Worship – An Interactive Time of Praise

Children in Pre-K through 5th grade for the current school year are invited to come together in Room 205 of the Children's Building from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. each Sunday for a high energy worship environment to learn about God in a casual and fun atmosphere.* Worship comes in the form of storytelling, skits, praise songs, and both large and small group time. Our goals are to instill an excitement in your child about God's word and work in his or her life, and to apply His truths in daily life. We especially strive to show the children how important it is to have Jesus as Savior so He can be present throughout their lives.

*3 year olds have their own small group time at 9:00, downstairs in Room 112 of the Children's Building.

3rd Grade Bibles

Bible Presentation Sunday is a very special day for 3rd graders. Bibles are presented to our 3rd graders during the worship services at 10:30 a.m. (Bibles are personalized with their name, the date, and the signature of our Senior Pastor.) Children and their parents are invited to attend a reception during the 9:45 Sunday school hour where they will enjoy refreshments and special activities using their new Bible.

Confirmation class for 6th graders is offered each school year. Confirmands learn about the United Methodist Church, discipleship, and membership in a congregation. They visit other worshipping faith communities, participate in mission projects, and write their class creed. Click here to register your child for Confirmation.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is an exciting experience for children entering Kindergarten – 6th grade. It is a week-long opportunity for fun and fellowship while learning more about God’s word and how to apply it to daily life. Each day includes Sanctuary time, Bible stories, crafts, music, and an emphasis on mission and outreach.

Children's Music & Arts

Our Children's Music & Arts program called WOW ("Worship Our Way") is open to all children 4 years old through 6th grade. We offer 2 children's choirs which rehearse on Sunday mornings during the 10:30 a.m. worship time. The choirs occasionally sing during worship services and at least one program during the school year.
